What is Inside a Food Pack (€50)?
Our food parcels are not random; they are carefully curated by nutritionists and local partners to match the dietary habits and nutritional needs of the region. A standard pack designed to sustain a family for the month includes:
- Staple Grains (Carbohydrates): Premium quality Rice, Maize Flour (or Wheat Flour depending on the region), and Pasta. These provide the essential energy required to sustain a fasting person.
- Kitchen Essentials: Vegetable Oil (rich in vitamins), Sugar for immediate energy, and Salt. Oil is a luxury commodity for many of these families.
- Protein Sources: Legumes such as Lentils, Beans, or Chickpeas, which are crucial for muscle maintenance and long-lasting satiety.
- Supplements: Depending on local availability, we may include Dates (Sunnah for breaking fast) or Tea.
This donation is fully eligible for Zakat and Sadaqah. You can include this food pack as part of your Zakat al-Maal to purify your wealth while feeding the poor.
